Mary Nastan - Co-owner of Children’s Therapy Works, is a Physical Therapist with more than 30 years of experience with children in this community. Advanced course work includes aquatic physical therapy, pediatric cranio-sacral therapy, and hippotherapy (therapeutic horseback riding). She is the founder of InStride therapeutic riding. She has served on the American Hippotherapy Association’s Board of Directors and numerous local professional and community organizations.

Nancy Marsh - Co-owner of Children’s Therapy Works, is an Occupational Therapist with more than 30 years of experience with children in this community. Advanced certifications include Sensory Integration (SI), Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Samonas Sound Therapy, and Early Intervention. She currently volunteers as President of the Family Network on Disabilities of Sarasota-Manatee.

Physical Therapy

Cindy Cascio, P.T. - Cindy is a physical therapist with more than 20 years of experience with children. She has advanced training in pediatric disorders, orthotic management, myofascial release, gait analysis, and hippotherapy.

Pat Heath, P.T.A. - Pat is a physical therapy assistant with more than 15 years of experience with children in this community. She has advanced training in gait deviation, developmental disabilities, and working with children post-botox injections. She also specializes in adapting home settings. She is a parent of a child with special needs and assists in advocating for individuals with disabilities. Pat also has specialized training in hippotherapy (therapeutic horseback riding).

Speech Therapy

Paola Codol, MS CCC-SLP - Paola is a speech/language pathologist with more than 19 years of pediatric experience. Paola has extensive experience and specializes in treatment for oral-motor, feeding, and early language disorders. She has advanced training in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for children up to 8 years old.

Kathie Hart, CCC-SLP - Kathie is a speech/language pathologist with more than 20 years of experience with children. She has spent her career specializing in pediatrics, with emphasis on preschool and school age children.

Leslie Kahn, CCC-SP - Leslie is a speech/language pathologist with more than 35 years of pediatric experience. She has advanced training in oral motor skills, fluency, and voice disorders. She specializes in articulation and language therapy for pre-school and school aged children.

Beth Reckord, CCC-SLP - Beth is a speech/language pathologist with more than 23 years of experience working with children. She specializes in working with children who have apraxia, hearing loss, autism and language processing disorders. She has advanced training in speaking and listening skills with children who have a hearing loss.

Kathy Smith, CCC-SLP - Kathy is a speech/language pathologist with more than 19 years of experience with children. She has worked previously in the public schools as well as in a pediatric clinic. She specializes in the treatment of children with delayed/disordered articulation and language skills.

Monica Sweeney, CCC-SLP - Monica is a speech/language pathologist with more than 15 years of pediatric experience. She has had extensive experience with birth to 5 years and school-age populations. She specializes in the treatment of children with language and auditory processing delays.

Occupational Therapy

Laura Hackle, OTR - Laura is an occupational therapist with 5 years of pediatric experience. She has training in Sensory Integration and the Therapeutic Listening Program. Laura uses child-centered and occupation-based approaches to help children and families realize their goals.

Shannon Parsons, OTR - Shannon is an occupational therapist with 10 years of experience. She has had advanced training in Sensory Integration, "Handwriting Without Tears", the "Therapeutic Listening Program", as well as experience in the public schools.

Debbie Smith, OTR - Debbie is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience in this community. She has worked with children of all ages both in clinics and school settings. She has advanced training in Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing Disorders, Therapeutic Listening, as well as Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for babies.
