Meet the Staff at Children's Therapy Works:
 
Mary Nastan - Co-owner of Children’s Therapy Works, is a Physical Therapist with more than 25 years of experience with children in this community. Advanced course work includes aquatic physical therapy, pediatric cranio-sacral therapy, and hippotherapy (therapeutic horseback riding). She is the founder of Smith Center for Therapeutic Riding. She has served on the American Hippotherapy Association’s Board of Directors and numerous local professional and community organizations.

 

Nancy Marsh - Co-owner of Children’s Therapy Works, is an Occupational Therapist with more than 25 years of experience with children in this community. Advanced certifications include Sensory Integration (SI), Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Samonas Sound Therapy, and Early Intervention. She currently volunteers as President of the Family Network on Disabilities as well as Chair of Regional Policy Council for the Early Intervention Program.


Physical Therapy

Cindy Cascio, P.T. - Cindy is a physical therapist with more than 15 years of experience with children. She has advanced training in pediatric disorders, orthotic management, myofascial release and gait analysis.

 

Kristy Aylward, P.T. - Kristy is a physical therapist with 5 years of experience. She has advanced training in hippotherapy and is a certified child passenger safety technician. She specializes in brain injury rehabilitation.

 

Mitzi Johnson, P.T. - Mitzi is a physical therapist with more than 20 years of experience, over 12 years of that with children in this community. She has extensive knowledge of pre-school and school-age children. She is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and her areas of expertise is neurology.

 

Pat Heath, P.T.A. - Pat is a physical therapy assistant with more than 15 years of experience with children in this community. She has advanced training in gait deviation, developmental disabilities, and working with children post-botox injections. She also specializes in adapting home settings. She is a parent of a child with special needs and assists in advocating for individuals with disabilities. Pat also has specialized training in hippotherapy (therapeutic horseback riding).

 

Speech Therapy

Christine Dillihay, CCC-SLP - Christine is a speech/language pathologist with more than 10 years of experience. Recently from Illinois, she has worked with children in birth to three programs, early childhood at-risk programs, and in school-age programs. Christine has had advanced training in oral-motor skills and in Dr. Stanley Greenspan’s "Floor Time" approach for children with Autism Spectrum.

 

Jill Johnson. CCC-SLP - Jill is a speech/language pathologist with 7 years of experience with children in this community. She has spent her career specializing in pediatrics, with emphasis on pre-school and school age children. Her areas of expertise include severe articulation and language disorders.

 

Leslie Kahn, CCC-SP - Leslie is a speech/language pathologist with more than 33 years of pediatric experience. Recently from New York, she has advanced training in oral motor skills, fluency, and voice disorders. She specializes in articulation and language therapy for pre-school and school aged children.

 

Kathy Smith, CCC-SLP - Kathy is a speech/language pathologist with more than 12 years of experience with children. She has worked previously in the public schools as well as in a pediatric clinic. She specializes in the treatment of children with delayed/disordered articulation and language skills.

 

Monica Sweeney, CCC-SLP - Monica is a speech/language pathologist with more than 15 years of pediatric experience. She has had extensive experience with birth to 5 years and school-age populations. She specializes in the treatment of children with language and auditory processing delays.

 

Occupational Therapy

Debbie Smith, OTR - Debbie is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience in this community. She has worked with children of all ages both in clinics and school settings. She has advanced training in Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing Disorders, Therapeutic Listening, as well as Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for babies.

 

Shannon Parsons, OTR - Shannon is an occupational therapist with 4 years of experience. Recently from Illinois, she has had advanced training in Sensory Integration, "Handwriting Without Tears", the "Therapeutic Listening Program", as well as experience in the public schools.

 

Michelle Matteoli, OTR - Michelle is an occupational therapist with over two years of pediatric experience. She has specialized training in Sensory Integration, the "Therapeutic Listening Program" and in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

 

Linda Frease, OTR - Linda is an occupational therapist with over 6 years of pediatric experience. She has specialized training in hippotherapy and assistive technology.
